How funny is this? My PERM was filed for Tech lead position and I am getting enquiries for PM position and I can not take it whereas you are trying togo in reverse direction. Anyways... you can not come in reverse direction now. The SOC code for Tech Lead is '"15-1031 Software Applications Engineer" which is definitely different than Computer Systems Manager and I believe logically management stream is altogether different than technical stream. Be very careful and refer to attorney at law before you make the decision.

I filed 485 last july and want to file EAD now. I had FP done last year. If I do efiling for EAD will I have to go to ASC for photos. I saw in other posts that they have linked Biometrics but what abt the photos ?

eFiling EAD will result in ASC appointment for code 2 biometics (Finger Printing of right Index finger + photo). You need to take the appointment letter and one form of photo id (passport or drivers id).
I had my ASC apt. for eFiled EAD last week (Feb. 12th).

I just received my initial EAD and it is only valid for 1 year. My priority date is October 2006. Shouldn�t I have received an EAD valid for 2 years?

is your case eb2 or eb3? what nationality are you from? if you are eb2 india, then it could potentially mean that you might get GC within one year...

The logic of making everyone current is that USCIS need to use up all the 140,000 visas by end of fiscal year.
I think that the slot does not get counted against the 140,000 until the GC is approved.
Therefore, USCIS may need to approve a lot of GC before October.
That would mean they need to process a bunch of applications within a 3 month period.
Is my logic flawed? Or might there be hope that some good number of us will get GC in 3 to 4 months?

My I-140 & I-485 applications had been transferred to VSC for receipting and later my I-485 was transferred back to TSC. But my I-40 has been pending at VSC for close to 6 months with no signs of any processing. VSC seems to be still processing Apr 06 applications while TSC has been processing I-140 under 6 months. Realistically my application should have stayed at TSC, but was transferred to VSC due to receipting delays and balance the workload. But now my application is stuck at VSC. For no fault of mine, my applications ended up in VSC. There is no signs of PP starting anytime soon. Can I lodge a complain to ombudsman in this regard? Will they be able to help me? Who do I contact and where can I find all the information to lodge a complaint?

I know this issue is still a grey area and certainly no one seems to know a concrete answer to this.
If i have my H-1 Visa and EAD as well. Can i continue to Work on my H1-visa for the primary employer and take up a part-time job with the EAD.
I have hear ppl say that H1 becomes void once EAD is used. Is there any kind of document advocating this? I have not seen any. Lawyers have conflicting opinoin. Has anyone thought about this. I have decided to take an infopass appointment and ask the IO to show me a document that states that H1-becomes void or The other way around.
Can anyone shed more light in to this. Thanks
