Guys good news from my side. Just got most awaited Card production Ordered emails for my wife and my son. I have not received the email for myself though. When I checked the status on Case Status Online site, I found that 485 for all three of us have been approved.
My priority date was Oct 2004 at NSC. Came to US in Feb 2000, so almost 8.5 years of waiting is finally finally over. I hope that NSC picks up the pace and approve all the people who are current.
Trust me!! I am not going anywhere. I will enjoy my green but at the same time will always work relentlessly to get the immigration reforms. I also prey from God almighty that all my friends/family members stuck in EB2/EB3 will also get their GC ASAP.
Wish you all the best, even though I have crossed the fence towards the greener pasture, I am always there to lend you a hand and help you climb up and jump across the fence.

Just noticed there is an update on LUD on my previous EAD (not the current one). Not sure what that means though. Still waiting for response after sending interfiling letter.
I got an email saying that "On December 2, 2010, we ordered production of your new card" today. Me and my wife both got emails. Our wait (green in our life) for so many years came to a very happy end. My hearty wishes to all the friends who have been waiting in the queue to have best of luck.

It is a good idea, can please register your vote against "simple letter"
In my opinion, we should do this:
Just send two information to USCIS, DOS, President, VP, First Lady and all Congress person of the following:
1. 1st info should have a photocopy of our degree certificate(s). On the same page, print your expereince in years and total tax paid till date to the US government.
2. On a fresh page, type in all the H1B/L VISA approval information and type in bold, we were wanted/invited here legally (and admitted via H1/L).
And, mention that our I140 is approved which means the immigration department has validated our eligibility to become PR.
Ask a question (larger font) on the same page, why keep us on limbo?
This would keep the whole thing short and sweet. We are explicitly saying that we are legals. And we were invited here - legally. We are approved by immigration team to be a PR.
If we could send couple of thousands of letters, I am sure it would have impact as much as any other letter we have in mind.
We are not humiliating them, we are just expressing our frustrations but in mass. May be we can say something like, "Legal Techie slaves in the land of liberty" or "Immigration process that enslave Legal Techies". But, we should keep it short.
As always, ignore this idea if you guys dont like it.

It is good to see, more and more people (EB3 with older PD's ) switch to EB2 or higher, though the total percentage is small, it is still a significant help for EB3 (C & I). On average each EB Applicant consumes 2-3 Visas. One primary applicant switch means, at least 2 -3 visas freed in EB3 for this category. If qualified for EB2, this is a good move looking at the way EB3 dates are moving.

Between July & August do you think it will cross 1.5 years taking all of 2006 & half of 2007 applications? Considering VdlRao's data which is 70K applications pending for 2006 I am not sure it will work thought I am still hopeful that 2005 will pass quickly since there are few PERM applications.
