Yes, what I posted was meant to be hard,
ask a EB3 person if he was happy when EB3 was available and Eb2 was not.
Did any one try to justify the reason why EB2 was UNAVAILABLE? No.
Did anyone here feel unhappy that EB2 moved so nicely? No.
Then why are we not seeing a single post from anyone which says we as aspiring immigrants are not being failrly dealt with when EB3 did not move with EB2.
Instead we see posts about why EB3 is not moving and explanation of reasons behind it.

BTW this Berry guy seems to be in the know of everything happening on this site. I hope at least now those blowhards among us who insist of by-the-minute updates and "where is my 20$" questions appreciate why the core members don't give updates on these forums. If you are so keen on updates, get off your backsides and pick up that darn phone !!!

A lot of us are busy getting our questions answered for filing our I-485. It is a sincere request to all members to please call ALL 100 Senators expressing your opposition to Menendez amendment SA#1317. This is an extremely important Action Item and it is time sensitive matter. Every voice and every call counts. We have all asked/answered many questions about the recent I-485 filing wave and we may have more unanswered questions that we would like to be answered right now. However, please understand that Senate proceedings, cloture vote and Menendez Amendment will govern the future shape of the entire green card numbers and the entire process. No doubt filing I-485 accurately is important for all of us. But please give due consideration to this very important events and the bill which will affects our and our families’ lives.

If we are educated and highly skilled that doesnot mean that we deserve automatic benefits.
In USA, political system works on coalition. If you help others then they help you in time of need.
How many of us have helped others without thinking "what is in it for me". I have seen people who are stuck in FBI Name Check and they dont help people with F1, H1, GC issue, so when one gets what (s)he wnats, everyone else is ignored.
If we want to stay in USA, then we have to leave our sofas and help other ogranizations in their cause. you don't have to agree with everything they say, but some things can always be agreed upon.
This is what I learnt from Congressman Keith Ellison.
So be part of political process at every level..city, state, etc..
Then when time comes and you need help, you will have people behind it..

10/20 is fine with me. Another IV member vs116 has agreed to attend it along with me.
I would prefer - Troy, Rochester, Royal Oak , Sterling Heights, Madison Heights, Utica etc. as long as it's agreeable to the majority. I think we should go by majority of participants.
the problem will be meeting venues and times if we join illinois. we do have ton of H1 people here who are on same boat. Lets try to rally them in.....

Please keep posting here. Lets target the date 10-20-07. We will meet on that day. We will go over the game plan and decide what comes next.

Calling USCIS is not going to help any single beneficiary. I guess this has been already answered by Oh. As long as we do not get away from concentrating too much on "Whats happening with my application?" we are going to sulk.

I guess it depends... I would prefer to slog with weather in Canada for 3 years and get citizenship instead of stuggling for 4-5 years with desi consultanting company to get GC. My sixth year is about to start in december 2009 and employer has told that they will not sponsor GC. I am planning to take citizen ship from Canada and then move back to India. That way, anytime I want to come back to US/Canada doors will be open. I guess, there is no right or wrong answer, its a matter of choice.
In fact, I also thought like you. I decided to do an MBA , so out of that 3 years 1.5 years were used up by my MBA.

Have a date? = The rally is better! If you don't get a green card then you won't have the boy or girl either!
