It should be okay. I sent to my attorney as well as my HR. I do not see any issues as long as it is just GC copy.
My attorney asked me to send a copy of my GC to make sure the info is correctly printed. Is it ok send it to them?

I am in the process of changing employers and the new employer applied for the H-1B transfer on 4/11 at California Service Center (CSC). I haven't received my receipt number yet. Just wanted to find out how long it takes now a days to issue a receipt number because of the new H-1B rush during the first week of April.
If anyone has applied for H-1B transfer at CSC after April 1st, please update your status here to help others in the same boat.
Also, my start date is May 19th. Is it safe to join the new employer based on proof of delivery to USCIS instead of waiting for the receipt #.

Hello:
I am on L1A at present and my full 7 year term is expiring in DEC-2012. My company could not file EB1-Int'l Executive or manager due to ownership changes etc. But they are considering EB2 and I was told that it will be risky as I would be required to convert to H1B before that and I would lose one year of stay.
Can someone advise whether my company can apply for extension of my L1A beyond the 7 years, if it files for EB2 and would be pending for approval, instead of going through the issue of converting to H1B?

I am confused with AP expiration date.

But my latest paroled stamp on AP it is : Dec 05, 2009.

We are family of four and have the following status
Self - Adjustment of Status (AOS - 485 filed in July'07), AP, EAD and a valid H1 (renewed recently)
Spouse - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, EAD, H4 expired end of April 2010
Son 14 yrs. old - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, H4 expired end of April 2010
Daughter - 11 yrs old - AOS 485 (filed in July'07), AP, H4 expired end of April 2010

No, you don't. I had a stopover in London on my way back to India. I had a 6 month valid visitor visa of UK and didn't need any transit visa.

My questions are:
Will they re-consider my case if lawyer submits the correct EIN number?

I am stuck out side of US for my name check for last 9 months when I applied for H-1. I have approved I 140. is there any way I can file my I 1485 and Advance parole or any thing to get back into US.
Some one has told me that I can use consular processing but have no idea about that.
Please help me and let me know what are possible options for me to return to US.

My PERM was approved in 3 days filed on June 15, 07 approved on June 18. .
I was lucky to be able to apply I-140, I-485 together during the July madness.
Last Month I received an RFE on the I-140 for degrees and reference letters after sending I-140 approved in 2 weeks. Now I have received an RFE on my I-485
They have asked for work authorization for the volunteering and internship I did while on F1. My atty by mistake put these on the G325A form. The internship was a cpt recorded on the I-20 so no worries there. Volunteering was where the problem is. It was working at a physicians office (my dad's office) helping in computer stuff.
What do the Gurus recommend I do. I am worried that at this stage What can we do.

Because, if I go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Pro...viceCenter=NSC the processing time for "Skilled worker or professional" is April, 1 2008, does this date apply for all? Thanks in advance.

My I 485 package was returned as it didnt have the approval notice of I 140, which was submitted a day later than I485 by my company.
It is such a frustrating situation as i have been waiting since 1999 for my GC , and when i got this golden chance my company was not serious enuf to submit the papers in time !
I am doubting the company , as they would have done all this intentionally to keep me in their co. for longer time!The returned letter they have provided me shows no reference no, file no, or either my name ! how can i believe if they have even submitted any papers for I485 or not ?
They say they can refile again .. but duno what to do ??
Can anybody be kind enough to help me out here!

My friend's company is India recently applied for his L1B visa. He is scheduled to go for stamping next week. But, another company has already premium-filed his H1B petition and is expected to hear back from the USCIS anytime now.
Here's the question: if he gets his L1B visa first, can he later on try and get his H1B visa and enter the country with the H1 visa? Second, if he goes for H1B stamping right after his L1B stamping, will it affect the visa officer's decision in issuing a H1 visa?
Last question: he has already spent 3 years in the US on a L1B visa. So, if he comes here on a H1B visa, will the 6-year term limit count his 3 yr. stay on L1 visa or will a new clock start when he enters on H1?

Hi all. I'm looking for a little help with part 2 of I-485. I've sent off my I-140 and I am hoping to apply adjustment of status concurrently. I wondering which box to fill in part 2. A. looks the closest, it reads: 'an immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number has been approved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice......)' My trouble is this: If my I-140 is approved then my visa number is no problem, it is current for my category/country (outstanding professor/Canada). Since the I-140 is pending, this looks like the wrong box, however, none of the others look even remotely close. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bark
