Hello,
I have a new job offer from one of the largest product based company's Global Consulting Professional services.
Situation:
1. I am in a PORTABLE AC21 situation over 180 days of 485 filing and an approved I-140.
2. I have requested the company to prefer my EAD over their H1B offering.
Questions:
1. If I take their H1B offer, what are the risks of USCIS asking me a client letter before joining? Please note it is a huge org. The company intends to take me in after obtaining LIN# from premium H1B processing.
2. The prevailing wage on my LC when filed in 2005 was $60,757 and the offered wage at that time from my company was $76545. My NEW offer in 2010 stands at $118000. Is that an issue?
3. If I use my EAD which is expiring September2010 and due renewal can I keep continuing work until obtaining new EAD?

I've been working full-time on EAD for the last 2+ years. I have a pending 485 application, on which my spouse is the primary applicant. I have never applied for H1B in the past, because I transferred directly from F1 (student visa) to this EAD.
My spouse also has an H1B, which is in it's 7th year (completed 6 yrs of H1B).
My spouse has been put on furlough (unpaid leave) for 3 months.
What are our options ?
1. Can my employer file H1B for me, and an H4 for my spouse ? How will this affect our green card application (on which my spouse is primary applicant) ?
2. How much time does my spouse have to look for another job (with similar job description), without being out of status ? Is there some grace period associated with H1?

Enrique's Journey (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5225180) is a very powerful book written by an LA Times journalist about illegal migrants who take the Tren de los muertos, or the Train of the Dead to get to the US.
Will it be the kind of book, like 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncle_Tom's_Cabin) to shake the conscience of a country to generate true Immigration reform? Will it move the likes of even politicians, who have no conscience, and get Immigration Reform accomplished?
I hope so. I had tears all through while reading the excerpts from the book, and hearing Sonia Nazario on NPR today.

If I apply for my husband's H4, do we need to show my past paystubs?

My attorney sent the EAD application to Nebraska SC.
Earlier my 485/EAD/AP were all sent to Texas Center.
Does anyone know if this is fine .. sending the renewal papers to Nebraska?
I'm also trying to find out from my attorney why they were sent to NSC and not TSC

Hi, we gat our GCs in aug 2008. My husband works for a Swiss bank in US. They are offering a promotion and move to Europe. If he accepts how will it affect our GC and eligibility for Citizenship in the future.

Tough talk from the Senate Majority Leader. Some, including my good friend Tamar Jacoby, think this is a really bad idea. I'm not so sure. I think fear of losing the Hispanic vote for a generation or more and the sudden urgency of the situation created by the Arizona fiasco could make responsible Republicans at least seek to block a filibuster and allow for a majority vote (as seems likely with financial regulatory reform). But Tamar is right that we'll get a better bill if pro-business Republicans play a role since some of the overreaching protectionist efforts of the unions...

We got the EAD receipt for both of us.My EAD Status says card ordered but my spouses EAD is still pending. Any one in a similar situation? FP Notices receive for both of us.

My friend John Lamb in Nashville blogs today about ICE's Hutto detention center where whole families are jailed while awaiting deportation. I'm reminded of Charles Dickens' tales of debtors prisons in Victorian England where "lawbreakers" who violated British laws relating to debt were jailed right along with their spouses and children. I am moving 60 miles from where I live now. I am planning to do following two things.
1. File a Form AR-11
2. Call this number (800) 375-5283 for pending I-485 and EAD renewal applications for self and spouse
Do I need to update the address on approved AP/I-140/EAD or any other approved applications as well.
Am I missing something :confused:

Any I-485 approvals from Nebraska.. for EB3-I in the month of Jan..
My finger printing was done in Sep-2007 .....took an Infopass and opened a SR .The IO officer @ infopass said that the finger printing has to be initiated from Nabraska...any body on the same boat

2. I requested my current employer to provide the copy of Labor certification that was filed for me. I received the following response from XYZ Company Inc., DOES NOT RELEASE COPIES OF THE LC, AS IT IS OUR APPLICATION WITH THE DOL FOR A POSITION NOT AN EMPLOYEE AND IT IS CONSIDERED PRIVILEGED AND CONFIDENTIAL.
How should I have to obtain the Job Code etc.,?
