In an effort to increase aviation security, DHS has announced its "If You See Something, Say Something� campaign which seeks the public�s support in reporting any suspicious aviation activity. Also, DHS will streamline the pre-screening process for passengers and crews traveling to and from the U.S. by allowing the carrier to submit a single manifest to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's on-line data system.

Hello
I am in AOS with priority date of EB2 Dec 2006. We are moving out of USA due to spouse getting a job outside of USA. If we want to retain our priority date and green card, what are we supposed to do before and after we leave USA?
In case we want to make temporary visits to the USA, do we have to apply for visitor visa? I am assuming that we will not have AP since we are not inside USA. Will we even get a visitor/business visa since we have an immigrant visa which is pending with USCIS?

My company got one previous LC approved whose requirements are BS in CS or Engg related. I have a civil engg degree, I would like to file I140 and get old PD. Will this substitution work? If anyone with "non CS" engg degree used a labor that asked degree in "CS or Engg rel" in item 14 on 750A please share your response.

I asked my attorney if we could anything about the delay in the issuance of EAD. My attorney mentioned that she would send an e-mail to USCIS. Is there an e-mail id that attorneys use to contact USCIS ? Offcourse, I could have asked my attorney, but I thought I would post the question here first.

Last year, employers submitted so many H-1B petitions, the USCIS had to pick the winners by lottery. This year, seven months after the opening of the filing season that started on April 1st, the H-1B cap has yet to be reached. However, the numbers may not last long. During the first week of April, the USCIS received almost enough H-1B petitions to fill the 20,000 cap for persons with advanced degrees, but only 43,000 petitions against the 65,000 general cap. in IE, a "X" appears next to the "Image Verification" field, indicating the image cannot be displayed.
Anybody got this to work? Should I change any settings?

If you search the forums, you will find this has been the latest trend , I think for most folks who live and work in CA. Not sure about maintaining the receipt date, I had the same question, but I think the answer is not well known.

My company filed for H1B Extension as it is expiring in november 2009. How much time will it take to get the H1B extension approved ? Once i get H1B extension(probably for 1 year or 3 years), then should i go for H1B stamping, if so, i have to go to India for H1B Stamping. Let me know...

I and my wife are on h1. I want to come on her h4. She recently applied for h1 extension as her employer is nonprofit org and has some policies of his own, he files every year. She filled in may�09 and got receipt number, as the case is still pending who we can apply for h4 now. Is there any way around to apply for my h4 while the case is still pending?

Just found this extension a few seconds ago for those (including me) who haven't mastered gradients or partially alpha'd parts of an image, and who are too cheap to buy Photoshop and instead use Paint.net

presently i am working on h1b for a tech company. I also have my ead (obtained as a result of july 07 fiasco).
Can i start a company, incorporate a llc or a class c company on my ead? What would be my options?
i know that if i had solely my h1b, i could start a class c company but not work for it(use a gc or a citizen) to do it
my question is that can i still continue on my status quo--ie use h1 for my employer and use ead to start a company, or i have to give up my h1 status? since my wife is on h4, i have to continue on h1b until she gets her ead.
